My work oscillates between object and event, constantly striving to find a form in which this oscillation remains visible. I model with clay: a body emerges. I use bronze or stone: the body is there. I assert a strong presence of bodies because I believe in the subject, in its free will.
I also work with my own body, my voice, multilingual texts, digital media, and drawing, in a process of condensation and dissolution, in order to explore my connection to the world.
Engaging with space is of central importance to me; that is why I see myself first and foremost as a sculptor. Is space a physical, temporal, or social dimension? Where does space begin and end? How can I present art in space? The frame, the pedestal: that is the point where artistic work becomes really complex and thoroughly interesting.
